TekPhone 1.2

Introduction

TekPhone is a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) VoIP Softphone that provides UA agent functions (Based on RFC 3261) runs under Windows (XP, Vista, 2003 Server). Use it just for testing environments! Do not use for production systems.

Major Features

  • Simple, easy to use interface.

  • Supports (Only) G.711 A - Mu law codecs and RFC 2833 for DTMF digit delivery.

  • Supports UPnP for NAT traversal. You can also set external IP address manually.

  • TekPhone can record incoming audio if away mode selected. You can specify your own welcome message.

  • ENUM (RFC 37612).

System Requirements

  • A Windows system with at least 512 MBytes of RAM.

  • Microsoft.NET Framework v2.0.50727 (Min.)

Installing and Uninstalling

To install TekPhone, extract contents of TekPhone.zip to a temporary directory, run Setup.exe from the distribution. Uninstall previous version if you upgrade from an earlier version

To uninstall TekPhone, double click TekConSer icon at "Add or Remove Programs" from Control Panel.

Running

If you familiar with soft VoIP phones, the usage is very simple:

  1. Run TekPhone by double clicking TekPhone.exe in the application directory.

  2. Enter a phone number to Dial Number and click dial button. You can end or cancel a call by clicking hangup button.

  3. Select IP address to be listened on the settings tab. Logging is optional. Set SIP endpoint ID (Username) and SIP Domain. If you save the configurations changes, they take effect immediately. If you leave SIP Domain blank TekPhone tries to initiate the call using ENUM.
